SCAR & BURN THERAPY

Scar therapy is a hands on approach working on scar tissue, fibroids and adhesions within the body tailored to you and your scar.

Treatments are tailored to you and your recovery. no two scars or stories are the same. however my approach can help loosen and release the scar tissue around and behind the scar, encouraging mobility between the muscle, layers of the skin and the fascia. Over time scars often can be numb, painful  or very sensitive. Treatments can reduce pain and normalise sensitivity.

Regardless of how new or old, big or small, if you you have a scar, burn or adhesion and feel that scar therapy may be of some interest to you, please do get in touch and ask how we can help with your recovery.

TYPES OF SCARS

Atrophic scar- Tends to be deeper and more sunken type scar

Keloid scarThese types of scars tend to be raised, hard and smooth, often these scars grow to be bigger than the original wound

Hypertrophic scar- Often are raised and firm, but tends to stay in the wound area.

Contracture scaring- tends to feel tight and restrictive. with very little movement behind or surrounding the scar the area where the scar is may be difficult & painful to move
